What is it about symbols, designs and what they stand for that make them so attractive to us, so much so in fact that in some cases we even go to the lengths of having them etched onto our skin so they are with us for the rest of our life? A very deep and meaningful question perhaps, that only we as individuals have the answer to, not only that, but the designs are not necessarily known commonly, which makes them all the more personal...

A very deep and meaningful question perhaps, that only we as individuals have the answer to, not only that, but the designs are not necessarily known commonly, which makes them all the more personal...There are a multitude of reasons that a person would want a tattoo and the list is quite literally endless, but once someone has made up their mind and are settled to the fact that they are going to be tattooed they need to start thinking about exactly what it is that they want etched into their skin.
Some designs are more complex than others and are rarely chosen from the many design books that most tattoo parlours seem to have.
Some designs are more complex than others and are rarely chosen from the many design books that most tattoo parlours seem to have. The next thing to take into consideration is budget, though if having the tattoo we desire is not possible due to price then maybe it is time to reconsider about being tattooed at all at this moment in time.
There are many standard type forms of design such as People or Animal Faces, Koi Fish, Tribal Art, Dragons, Animals, and Warriors, and many more which tend to form the basic idea for the design. From that it is then down to the tattoo artist to create the ideal design that a person first pictured in their minds eye.
